The Sounds of Summer Program Overview

Take your musicianship to the next level or simply dabble in a new interest in Terra Marin's Music Camp. Use technology to produce music or collaborate with fellow musicians in band that really rocks!

Rock Band

Play an instrument and want to take it to the next level and play in a band?  Come rock out with us as we explore rock and pop songs, performance techniques and what it really takes to play in a band.  Campers will be paired with other campers according to their age, skill and instrument.

M-F; 10am-4pm; Ages 10-17

All sessions will be conducted in accordance with CDC & state regulations surrounding COVID-19.

  • Small stable group sessions (12 campers or less)

  • Daily sterilizing of common spaces & educational tools 

  • Indoor/outdoor learning spaces

  • PPE as required for campers & staff

Music Director: Ryan Hickey

Ryan is a highly experienced musician and teacher. Before coming to Terra Marin K-8 as our Music Director, he worked in the industry as a music industry manager and agent. He has over 1,000 live performances and 500+ hours of recording studio time under his belt.
 

His teaching experience is also extensive - he has been an education program developer and music teacher of children of all ages for over 5 years.  His teaching credentials include teaching students inside music centers and high schools as well as acting as a primary contributor to the development of the school curriculum.  Ryan is also the founder of "All Star Bands", a modern band program at San Francisco's music center. In addition, Ryan Hickey was Director of Productions with Citylights Events, a production company that is pioneering event cinema in China and producing multimedia live shows. Ryan has an extensive collection of works, which include portfolios in music composition, photography, video reels, fine arts, graphic design and voice overs.
