EARTH DISCOVERY CAMP

Experience nature up close. Connect deeply with the environment, others and self. Excursions will take your child from the beach to the mountains and everywhere in between to hike, learn and explore.  Adventures are balanced with projects, personal and group reflection, stories, and timeless wandering.

WHERE WILL MY CHILD BE?

We rotate among different Marin locations - each day for one week camps and each week for three week camps. Locations will include the following:

  • Alice Eastwood, Mill Valley (Panoramic Highway)

  • Lake Lagunitas, Fairfax

  • Rodeo Beach, Sausalito

  • Tennessee Valley, Mill Valley

Please drop off & pick up your child on site. After-care is not available.

COVID SAFETY

Safety is our top priority. We follow all CDC & state regulations. Your child plays & learns in a small, stable cohort, 100% outdoors.

  • Small, stable group sessions (max of 14 children)

  • Masks worn at all times (except when eating)

  • Our earth educators are highly trained in COVID safety protocol

  • Frequent sanitization of shared educational tools

  • Camp activities are 100% outdoors

ACTIVITIES

  • Storytelling, songs & art

  • Nature-based learning & exploration

  • Nature awareness games

  • Animal tracking & identification

  • Survival skills

  • Bird tracking

  • Curiosity-led wandering

  • Navigation

  • Mindfulness & journaling

DAILY SCHEDULE

  • 9:00 am - Drop off at outdoor site

  • Begin daily excursion (hike, explore, learn, connect)

  • Snack time

  • Exploration, hike time, project work and/or journaling

  • Lunch

  • Earth Education skills-building activities (approx. 1-1.5 hrs.)

  • 3:00 - Pick up at outdoor site
