SHUTTLE BUS VAN DRIVER

Position Description:

Drive a van shuttle to transport student to and from school. This is a perfect job for an Uber or Lyft driver looking for some steady income, semi-retired individual or parent looking for a part time job. Only work when school is in session (i.e. no driving when school is out for two weeks for winter holiday, etc).

In this role, your responsibilities include the following, as well as those arranged with the school administration.

Essential Duties:

  • Drive vehicle on a direct route from Fairfax, San Anselmo and San Rafael to Mill Valley weekday mornings (7-8:30am) and once in the afternoons (3pm-4:30) when school is open.

  • Assist passengers into and out of vehicle.

  • Check or assist passengers in their set securely.

  • Clean and service vehicle with fuel, lubricants, and accessories.

  • Overtly support and act in accordance with the school’s mission and values

  • Respond to accidents and emergencies should they arise

  • Establish positive rapport with students, parents, and staff

  • Greet visitors to school and provide information when needed

  • Respond to accidents and emergencies should they arise

 

 

Qualifications:

  • Must hold a valid and applicable CA state regular drivers’ class C license and have a clean driving record. Must submit current copy of Department of Motor Vehicles Driving Record Report.

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or one to three months’ related experience and/or training.

  • First aid and CPR certification a plus.
