
EARTH DISCOVERY CAMP
Experience nature up close and connect deeply with the environment, others, and self. Excursions will take your child from the beach to the mountains and everywhere in between to hike, learn and explore. Adventures incorporate Earth science lessons, natural movement, art projects, and reflections.

CHILD BE?
Camp locations change throughout the week allowing us to study and explore various ecosystems during our time together. Drop off and pick up is conducted at the location of the day.

Curriculum
Each day we complete activities related to the following themes such as:

Earth Studies: topics such as weather, geology, forestry, animal tracking, nature identification, survival skills, bird watching, habitat building, measuring & orienteering!

Movement: digging, climbing, fort building, log rolling, creating cairns, exploring, nature tag, swinging, moving like animals, hiking & yoga!

Art: sculpting, sandal making, painting landscapes, leaf rubbings, carving, harvesting pigments, friendship bracelets, nature crafts, story rocks, weaving, sewing & singing!

Connection: with self, others, and the environment through awareness games, mindfulness activities, journaling, daily reflections, intention setting, mediation & "sit spot"

NAPS
Campers ages 3-5 participating in rest time will be napping outside in nature. Personal blankets and pillows are placed on large tarps and ground blankets to create a comfortable space for nap time. *Please note: Not all campers need to take a nap. Campers not participating in nap time will play small group games, create crafts, read stories and explore nearby ecosystems.
COVID SAFETY
Safety is our top priority. We follow all CDC & state regulations. Your child plays & learns in a small, stable cohort, 100% outdoors.
